I’m writing to express the gratitude that both my mother and I feel for yourself and your team. You made the installation of new double glazing, in particularly all of the windows in my property, a painless process. This was a very pleasant surprise and not at all what we were expecting when we first decided to contact Everest.
The existing double glazing in the windows concerned was about 25 years old and condensation was beginning to build up between the sheets of glass quite badly in a couple of places. Also, the back of the house faces onto a railway line, so noise was also an issue. We decided that we were prepared to pay for the best, so contacted Everest. When we first met you, you were immediately friendly and helpful with good advice about what each individual window would need. We’d not considered laminated glass at all, but as two of the upstairs windows (one a bedroom) face a large flat roof, your suggestion made perfect sense!
I’m more than used to salesmen who use the ‘My word is my bond’ type of approach. However from the time we signed the agreement, when many might consider their role was practically complete, you proved that in your case it wasn’t just part of a sales pitch, but the truth. In fact, we had a lot more contact with you after the sale, as you were fully involved with the process from start to finish. It was reassuring to know that if we had any queries, we could just ring you. However, the likelihood of confusion was small, as you sent regular email updates which kept us informed of what was going on at all times. At the time of the survey, at which you were also present, your colleague shared both your efficiency and also your good humour when faced with the mini obstacle course of my mother’s knick-knacks around the windows concerned and her indecisiveness about what pattern to choose for the bathroom windows! It was useful to have a print out and explanation of exactly how each window would look before they were manufactured. Whilst the fitter measured the windows precisely, you explained the benefits of the Home Account Payment with 10% cashback which we decided to take up.
When the windows were ready to be installed, I was unable to be there due to unforeseen circumstances. However I wasn’t as worried as I might have been, because I was already so confident that you would take care of my mother, that I knew that the team that you chose would be professional and reliable and that you would visit at some point each afternoon to make sure that things were running smoothly. I was totally justified in my trust – whenever I rang her, my mother was full of praise for the way the fitters both worked and behaved. I’d like to express my personal thanks to them as well, they didn’t just do their job (very well) but they are willing to do little things like move a large television back into position etc, which isn’t strictly necessary, but was appreciated. They were both so considerate towards my mother and I appreciate their willingness to go that extra mile to help out.
When I finally arrived, all the windows were finished and the house looked brilliant – it’s definitely the smartest house in the road! The inside looks fresh and spacious and has been left as clean as it was before the work started, the sound of the railway is history and the increase in insulation is just in time for the return of colder weather. I’d like to thank you and your team again for ensuring that the whole process ran so smoothly, if my mother and I encounter anyone who mentions they’re considering installing double glazing we would immediately recommend that they contact you directly, in order to get the best service they could hope for.
