Can ewe spot the celebrity in our new Everest TV ad?
Remember Ted Moult and the old Everest TV commercials? Maybe the best was at Tan Hill Inn, Britain's highest pub.
Recently we went back to the Tan Hill Inn, with all its souvenirs of Ted Moult and Everest to shoot a new Everest TV ad.
As soon as they heard about it a few locals tried to get into the act. Our celebrity presenter had to shoo them away, as you can see in this little clip.
Do you know the celebrity, by the way? He’s the one not wearing a hankie round his neck.
People really loved that old Everest ad, which you can see on the right. It helped make Everest the industry leaders.
The new ad gives you a glimpse of the old Tan Hill Inn TV commercial, but our new celebrity tells the story. He shows one of our new solar panels, making the point that today Everest home improvements mean so much more than double glazing.
As he says, "Now, be honest, you didn't expect Everest to be doing all this, did you?" But the one thing first said by Ted Moult has never changed: "Fit the best".
It really doesn't matter what kind of home improvements you want. It could be "a-rated" energy efficient windows or Solar Water Heating, as featured in the commercial. Maybe an Everest conservatory, or one of our kitchens could catch your fancy. Today Everest do all kinds of home improvements. Doors, patios, driveway, security systems, garage doors - even a new roofline or flat roof - no matter what our constant aim at Everest is to fit the best.
As Ted Moult pointed out all those years ago in the Tan Hill Inn, you don't do these things often, so why not do them right – and we hope you think that's true of this new Everest ad in Britain's highest pub - with our new celebrity Craig Doyle, the sports presenter.
