Building on strong foundations
- Engineered piled base or 1m deep structural foundations as standard, with an extra wide foundation trench of up to 500mm
- 150mm of compacted hard core, topped off with sharp sand to make a cushion for the vital damp-proof membrane – which is itself a good 100mm thick.
- 50mm of dense polystyrene for extra insulation, covered with a thick layer of steel-reinforced concrete
- Final layer of sand and cement, then this superior Everest base is ready to accept the floor of your new conservatory
