What are Double Glazed Doors?
Although Double Glazing is generally associated with new windows, many of Everest’s door designs also contain glass sections, and we use double or triple glazing in these sections as standard to help ensure that our doors are consistent with the security and energy-efficient properties of our windows.
What are the benefits of a Double Glazed door?
Just like your windows, your doors represent a part of your home through which heat can escape. By using two panes of glass instead of one, with an airtight gap separating them, Everest double glazing creates an insulating barrier, minimising heat loss through the glass.
Double glazing also reduces noise pollution, and is more difficult to break than single-glazing, making your home quieter and more secure.
Some Everest doors even use triple glazing for maximum warmth and security.
