What are PVCu Doors?
uPVC stands for Un-Plasticised Polyvinyl Chloride. Polyvinyl Chloride or ‘PVC’ is a material used in the manufacture of a variety of products, such as handbags, shoes and faux-leather. The PVC used in these products is softened – whereas in its un-plasticised form PVC has properties that make it ideal not just for entrance doors, but also for windows, and conservatories .
What is the difference between PVCu and uPVC?
There is occasionally some confusion regarding the terms PVCu and uPVC. They both refer to the same material. PVCu is the European term, whereas in the UK it is still widely referred to as uPVC. There’s no difference and both terms can be used interchangeably.
