uPVC is an increasingly popular window frame material. At Everest we offer uPVC double glazing in all of our window style options, in addition to our timber and aluminium options.
What is uPVC?
uPVC stands for Un-Plasticised Polyvinyl Chloride. It is a strong, malleable and attractive material which is ideally suitable for use as a framing material not just for windows, but also for doors and conservatories. It is also often used in roofline products. It is sometimes referred to as PVCu. There is no difference between uPVC and PVCu – it’s the same material. PVCu is the term generally used in mainland Europe, while in England it is still commonly known as uPVC.
