Meet the team in Yorkshire

Michael Shirley

Michael is one of our top consultants. His patch is wide-ranging, covering Sheffield, Lincoln, Nottingham, Chesterfield and Rotherham, and he has many happy customers who are now the proud owners of Everest conservatories, doors, flat roofs, windows and much else besides. He’s also into fitness training, while his favourite song is Adele’s Someone Like You. So if you live in one of those cities and you’re in the market for some home improvements, someone like you could be perfect for someone like him!

Andrew Ardron

Andrew joined Everest way back in 1990, so there’s not an Everest product he doesn’t know inside out, whether it’s a stable door or a traditional timber one, a uPVC window or aluminium one, a replacement conservatory roof or a brand new whole conservatory. His knowledge is encyclopaedic, and his main areas include Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley, Doncaster, Chesterfield and Goole. His favourite film in The Wolf of Wall Street and he also loves his fishing. Plus – a useful skill this – he’s adept at sign language.

Glen Johnson

The famous explorer Captain Cook came from Glen’s home town of Great Ayton, but his preferences lie a bit closer to home, watching football, playing golf and going fishing. Mind you, he does venture as far as Malton, York, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Stockton, which is where many of his customers are based. As well as our core items, he specialises in products as diverse as driveways, flat roofs, alarm systems and secondary glazing. His favourite film is Stand By Me and he once worked as a security guard for the Britain’s Got Talent auditions.

Richard Braithwait

As well as being the fount of all knowledge when it comes to Everest, having been with us for over 25 years, Richard is also a pastoral minister who, not surprisingly, cites the Bible as his best-loved book. Living in Sheffield, he has many happy customers there and in Rotherham, Barnsley, Chesterfield and across rural Derbyshire. The Peak District is of course subject to strict conservation regulations, and Richard knows just what’s permitted and what will look best on all properties, whether listed, traditional or modern. He’s also a keen photographer.

Christopher Robertson

Coming from the village of New Marske in ‘God’s own county’, Christopher looks after cities and towns such as Middlesbrough, York, Bridlington, Stockton and Scarborough. This is brass band country, and Christopher just happens to be chairman of his local ensemble. But he’s just as happy blowing Everest’s trumpet, for advanced products such as our uPVC, timber and aluminium windows and doors, as well as driveways, alarm systems and roofline. His favourite film is the thriller A Few Good Men, and he’s been one of our many good men since 2009.

David Taylor

An ex-army veteran standing 6 foot 8 inches tall and whose favourite film is Saving Private Ryan, Dave is definitely a man of action. Whether you want doors or windows of timber, uPVC or aluminium, roof trim, flat roofs, driveways or anything else, Dave will do his darnedest to make sure you get exactly what’s right for you. He’s been with us for well over 10 years now, covering his beloved Yorkshire and beyond, especially his home city of Middlesbrough, as well as Stockton, Darlington, Whitby, York and Beverly, plus plenty of other places besides.

Gary Durant

Another Middlesbrough native, Gary is the man if you have your eye on a casement, sash, tilt & turn or dual turn window, or any of our entrance, bi-fold, patio, French or stable doors. He’s often to be found selling these and our other products such as security systems, driveways, artificial grass and secondary glazing in places such as Redcar, Guisborough, Saltburn, Yarm, Marton and Nunthorpe, as well as some of the bigger towns and cities in this area of Britain. He’s been an Everest stalwart since 1999, while his favourite film is 90s classic The Bodyguard.

Ted Watts

A Stokesley man, Ted is also responsible for areas such as Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Harrogate and Halifax. He and his team handle all Everest products, including conservatories and replacement conservatory roofs, plus uPVC, aluminium and timber windows, not forgetting doors in all the same materials, as well as composite ones. Ted once played for England Under-17 at rugby, while his favourite film is that perennial classic The Great Escape. He had long experience in the business generally, before joining us in 2014.

Ayub Hafajee

Coming from Bradford, Ayub’s customers are to be found across all the major conurbations of Yorkshire, including Leeds, Harrogate, Huddersfield and Wakefield. His favourite film is Rocky, and like the boxer, he just keeps going, ensuring that you get precisely the right window, door, roof trim, flat roof or anything else that suits both your property and your pocket. As with all of our consultants, he’ll also make sure that it fits in with local planning or conservation regulations. Ayub has been with Everest since 2008.

David Wilson

An Everest long-server, we’re proud to say that David has been with us since 1984. Even so, his working life goes on much longer than that – he tells us that Everest actually represents his fourth career! He’s also lived in the same property for 37 years, naturally updating and improving it over that time with some of the finest products that Everest offers, so he knows at first-hand just how advanced our products are. During the day, he can often be found talking about what we offer in places such as Leeds, Bradford, Huddersfield, Morley, Halifax and Harrogate.

Stephen Mark McCrae

Having been with Everest since 2009, Stephen covers all of West Yorkshire from Ripon across to Settle and all the way down to Hebden Bridge, plus everywhere in-between. Big cities and towns on his patch include Harrogate, Leeds, Halifax, Huddersfield and Wakefield. With two young children, he has plenty on his plate outside of work, but likes watching a good film when he gets the chance. As for products, he looks after the full range, so whether you’re after a state-of-the-art window, door or anything else, why not get Stephen in to tell you all about them?

Yasar Khan

A Keighley man, Yasar has been with Everest since 2013. He covers all of our main products and all the major towns in cities in West Yorkshire, including Leeds, Wakefield, Bradford, Hebdon Bridge, Shipley and Halifax, As for products, you name it and Yasar is more than qualified to tell you about it. That includes all of the usual uPVC, timber and aluminium windows and doors, as well as roof trim and our own artificial grass product, Greener Grass. Outside work, his favourite film is Superbad.
