Double glazing owners told government Green Deal needs to work

Double glazing owners thinking of adding new environmentally friendly technologies to their home have been told that it is important the government's Green Deal works.

According to Sustain Worldwide, there needs to be a big take up of the scheme to help the coalition's reputation and to be able to hit energy saving targets by 2050.

Furthermore, the company noted that it is imperative that homeowners engage with the project and take up is strong.

Gordon Miller, sustainability and communications director at Sustain Worldwide, said: "If the government is to use it as its main tool to drive domestic energy awareness, it's pretty critical that it has an impact.

"If it is to have any chance of meeting those targets, it has to get householders to engage," he added.

Recently, design director Adrienne Chinn told double glazing owners that many people are planning to future proof their home and are adding technology and home improvements to try add value to their property. ADNFCR-1051-ID-800527134-ADNFCR
