Latest kitchen trends highlighted

Some of the key trends to look out for kitchen designs have been identified by experts in the field.

In an article for News Community Media, Janita Singh notes some of the outcomes from the recent kitchen fair, Eurocucina, held in the Italian city of Milan.

Among them is the continuing growth in the creation of kitchens integrated into living rooms, reacting to an "increasingly fragmented world".

Furthermore, improved lighting is detailed, while clean surfaces, with appliances hidden away, are also expected to be more common.

The author also highlights what the colour trends are expected to be in kitchens over the coming years.

"Though Eurocucina 2010 saw coloured kitchens in pink, yellow, red and green, bright colours are still niche," she writes.

"In keeping with home trends, kitchens will continue to use a more natural palette, ranging from white to black and blonde to ebony."

Interviewed by the Daily Telegraph recently, property expert Phil Spencer explained how upgrading a kitchen could help to increase the value of a home.ADNFCR-1051-ID-800016752-ADNFCR
