Everest secondary windows are the answer. They are tailor-made to virtually any size to suit your home and fit inside your existing windows. The strong aluminium frames that we use for our secondary windows are virtually maintenance free and are fitted with anti-burglar catches. Availabile in your choice of wipe clean white or brown finish, they are secured to smart and snug-fitting kiln-dried timber surrounds.
Air trapped between your existing window and the new secondary window insulates against the cold outside, helped by additional draught-proofing seals. We can even use specially coated glass for your secondary window, which will reflect heat back into your home to help you save on your fuel bills.
Alongside improved warmth and security, secondary windows reduce noise by up to 50%. In fact, thanks to the gap between your existing window and the new glazing, they are often even more effective at shutting out unwanted noise than standard double glazing units!
What’s more, if you have an extreme noise problem, we can help even more by lining the walls and ceiling between the existing outer window and your new secondary window with sound-absorbing tiles.
