As a Transformation Project Manager, you will oversee Senior Management Team project delivery. You will develop and implement change management procedures and methodologies to achieve objectives in critical projects, linked to overall business strategy.

This is a full-time, fixed term contract for between 6 to 12 months. This is a field-based role, which will require some travel.

What the role will involve:

  • Project management of business-critical projects, ensuing effective execution to timelines, budget, and business priorities.
  • Planning and monitoring the implementation of change, including impact assessment, resource analysis, conflict resolution and contingency planning.
  • Preparing the organisation to transition to new ways of working, including the creation of new working practices that ensures changes are embedded.
  • Benefits realisation support, ensuring the organisation derives the intended improvements to performance and efficiency.
  • Ensuring projects are executed effectively and efficiently, within defined budget and timelines, escalating any anticipated delays.
  • Promoting project management skills across the organisation through formal and informal training, ensuring employees have the tools to successfully deliver project outcomes.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders, to deliver objectives, timelines, and outcomes.
  • Working with relevant department managers to identify areas of improvement and agreeing action plans.
  • Production of policy, processes, procedures, working practices and supporting guidance to promote change management.
  • Providing project progress reports on status, delays, and issues to all appropriate personnel.

What we are looking for

  • Previous experience managing multiple simultaneous projects of between 3-12 months duration, from specification to delivery.
  • Proven experience of scoping out project requirements, guiding and directing project objectives.
  • Experience and ability to produce and challenge business cases.
  • Ability to influence senior management, offering clear recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to present to a variety of audiences up to Board level.
  • Accurate estimation and execution of projects, being familiar with structured project frameworks.
  • Ability to demonstrate a ‘Right First Time’ and lean continuous improvement ethos.
  • Competent in methods for risk management, particularly relating to serious disruption to business services.
  • Project Management qualification, Prince2 or similar
