Why choose an Everest Orangery?

To create a beautiful, timeless look, an Everest Orangery seamlessly combines traditional features with state-of-the-art engineering. The style originates from the stunning renaissance gardens of Italy, where a mixture of a greenhouse and an elegant guest room was held in high status right throughout the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.

Orangeries differ from conservatories in many subtle ways. Generally, they feature more brickwork than conservatories to ensure they are more in-keeping with your home. They also provide an option to have spotlighting in the roof rather than wall lighting, but large windows and a glass roof are still the main features, maintaining the feeling of brightness and comfort.

Traditionally, orangeries were thought of as a private, luxurious space. As such, Everest hardwood, uPVC and aluminium orangeries are created from bespoke designs, tailor-made to suit your vision perfectly. They feature authentic period features including fascias and elegant pilasters. These traditional elements are all complemented with modern benefits such as watertight GRP flat roofing and the latest glass technology.

Contemporary orangeries

At Everest, contemporary orangeries are now available, allowing you to enjoy all the features of a traditional orangery with the appearance of big lantern skylights and ceiling perimeter lighting without the need for an additional roof structure. The orangery look is completed by a deep decorative cornice around the roof edge. And you can add a further touch of orangery elegance with the option of wide pilasters.

Never has there been such a range of options available to customise your orangery. You can choose a colour to suit your taste and your home and can also choose a glass style, too, from arched Georgian to rectangular lead and more, you can add your own personal stamp with roof cresting and finials. For added comfort, you can accessorise your orangery with wall or underfloor heating, or add ceiling fans, to help customise the space.

How do I care for my Everest Orangery?

How do I care for my Everest Orangery?

Our orangeries are designed so that they require little maintenance, and following these helpful tips will keep yours looking stunning for years to come.

You might also be wondering...

Q: What is the difference between a classic conservatory and an orangery?

A: Historically, orangeries were installed by the wealthy in order to protect citrus trees from the cold. Conservatories later did the same for plants and shrubbery, but both evolved simply to add extended space to a home. The main difference now is that conservatories use minimal brickwork and are more about viewing the garden from within your home, whereas Orangeries have more brickwork and are generally larger and a touch more elegant – considered by some as private spaces with an emphasis on luxury.

Don't forget the Everest Price Promise
