If you're looking for an external door for a traditional property, stable doors are an excellent choice. Stable doors were traditionally seen on cottages or rural period properties, however, they are now an increasingly popular solution for replacing old doors as they are extremely versatile. They can be opened in two ways, both parts opening together like a standard door, or the top half of a door opened whilst the lower half remains closed. This makes stable doors an ideal choice for families, as the door that can let fresh air into your home, whilst keeping small children and pets indoors. Our stable composite doors are available with two solid half door panels or with the top panel glazed, in a choice of stunning colour and multipoint locking fitted as standard.
Make an entrance with an Everest composite stable door available in a wide choice of colours. Our range of composite stable and cottage doors perfectly capture the country look with a vertical plank design, which can be hard to achieve with basic doors making them ideal for cottages, terraces and older properties with lots of character.
An Everest composite stable door is not only aesthetically beautiful, but it also boasts the craftsmanship of Everest and is tested to the latest security and weatherproof standards to keep your home safe. Each door is 70mm thick, comes fitted with a steel-reinforced frame and three high-security hinges and as standard, we use thermally toughened safety glass.
Our handmade, hard-wearing composite stable doors and cottage doors are made to measure for a perfect fit, so draughts are eliminated and more heat is kept in. The double rebated door leaf is insulated with a thermally-efficient foam core and a multi-chamber frame for additional insulation, plus all glass designs are triple glazed.
Choose from 7 stable door designs, available in a stunning range of colours and a choice of glass and furniture options.
Find the perfect stable door colour to match the character of your property and complement your interior decor. Our 70mm doors are available in an impressive range of 29 handpicked colours and if you want a specific colour not in the range, we offer colour matching to most RAL or BS colours, ensuring your door is truly unique.

At Everest, we understand that choosing a new external door can be a daunting task. So to help you here are some frequently asked questions that you might find useful.
All our stable doors are operated by a handle on the top section of the door which operates the locking system. The bottom section has no handle and can not be operated independently of the top section. So you can either open both doors together or just open the top half.
At Everest, we take pride in offering a comprehensive solution for composite stable doors and do not sell supply-only doors. Our approach is to provide a full door set, which includes the frame, door leaf, handles, hinges, locking mechanism, and furniture. In addition, we offer a 10-year guarantee as standard.
Everest composite doors prices start at £2,500 which may appear higher compared to basic supply-only options. However, this cost reflects not only the exceptional quality of the Everest product and accessories but also the skilled installation service we provide, along with the valuable guarantees included in the price.
