The benefits of solid wood doors

Naturally beautiful timber front doors

Wooden doors are a marvellous way to give your home a classic look with timeless charm and uncompromising style. With a wide range of designs, paint and hardware finishes available, we can easily match a door to the character of your home. Moreover, we use modern lamination and finger jointing technology to remove knots from softwood to achieve a smooth and beautiful appearance that will last for years.

External wooden doors designed for optimal warmth

Our wooden doors are made-to-measure and precision crafted for a perfect fit. We have a far lower tolerance for gaps than other suppliers to keep the draughts out and the heat in. Most importantly timber is the most thermally efficient material for a door and does not conduct heat or cold and so will keep your home wonderfully warm. In addition we add low-e glass to reflect heat back into the room.

Strong and secure external timber doors

For complete peace of mind, our wooden doors feature a multi-point, bi-directional stainless steel locking mechanism and three high security hinges as standard. They are also made to measure to within fractions of a millimetre for the perfect fit, which makes them more secure and gives a neater finish.

Guaranteed for peace of mind

Our timber doors are guaranteed against rot and fungus for 30 years. We also offer a 10-year guarantee on the whole door, while finishes are guaranteed for 5 years against discolouration.

Hardwood or softwood doors

We offer sustainably sourced softwood (European Redwood) and hardwood (Red Grandis), both of which are accredited by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC). Our hardwood and softwood is laminated and engineered to specially bond layers together and add strength and rigidity. For even further durability our softwood is finger jointed to eradicate knots and resist twisting.

Stained or painted finish

We would never claim that timber is maintenance free but if wood is the only option or you love the look, then we offer an impressive range of stained finishes on all our hardwood frames, highlighting the beauty of the natural grain for an authentic look with timeless charm. Alternatively, we offer a great range of painted finishes on our softwood timber providing a more contemporary finish.

Solid wood construction

All our wooden doors are laminated for added strength and rigidity, while our softwood is also engineered with finger jointing technology to add strength, eradicate knots and resist twisting. The door leaf is then rebated with double weather-resistant seals to prevent rain water entering.
