Perhaps the strongest performance of the women’s season was Andreé Jeglertz and Manchester City’s 5-1 victory over Chelsea – a difficulty victory against one of the strongest teams in the league which included a hat trick performance and defensive resilience. Another brilliant performance from the women’s game included Martin Ho and Tottenham Hotspur’s incredible 7-3 victory over Aston Villa – one of the highest scoring games in the POTW nominations from across the season, with 27 shots aimed at the opposition’s goal during the match.
The 2025/26 LMA POTW award consistently celebrated standout weekly managerial performances, balancing elite-level success with underdog achievements and emphasising tactical excellence and team performance. The best LMA POTW performances this season weren’t just big wins—they were clear demonstrations of tactical identity, adaptability, and collective execution, whether through dominant attacking structures or disciplined, counter-attacking game plans.
