Windows and Doors Security

Security that’s one step ahead

Windows and doors so secure that they meet British Security standards

Keeping you safe

Keeping you safe

Making sure you and your family feel safe in your home is our priority, which is why Everest works constantly to out-think burglars, who are always learning new tricks. We make sure we’re always a few steps ahead of them – and the rest of the windows and doors on the market, for that matter. In fact, most Everest windows and doors are certified to British Standard PAS.

Tested and certified

To earn their British Standards security kitemark, our windows and doors have passed some tough tests – including having a 200lb wrecking ball crashing into them.

Introducing new GrabLock, designed exclusively with Yale

We're pleased to announce the launch of GrabLock, developed exclusively with leading lock manufacturer, Yale. GrabLock has three times the locking surface area of a standard, multi-point or shoot-bolt window lock, making it our most innovative and secure lock ever.

Advanced window security

Our uPVC casement windows are fitted with new GrabLock, which has three times the locking surface area of a standard, multi-point or shoot-bolt window lock, making it our most secure lock ever. Our timber and aluminium windows have stainless steel bi-directional locking mechanism which are also super secure as these foil one of the favourite tricks of burglars – lifting and unhooking the window. Then there are the shoot bolts that anchor the corners of the sash, the mushroom bolts that clamp the sash firmly into the frame, the extra buttressing on the hinges and the handles locked with a key. All Everest windows are also securely beaded to prevent removal of the glass from the outside. They even protect you when open, with night vents allowing you to lock windows in a position that lets in enough air for ventilation, but still keeps your home secure.

Door security

Door security that’s way out in front

The most important job of a front door is to keep you safe in your home and at Everest we take the security of your doors very seriously. Everest doors are tested to the latest security standard PAS 24:2016 for added peace of mind. Lock an Everest door and the multi-point, rust-proof steel locks clench firmly into the frame in every direction. Plus, the locking cylinder is built so it can’t be picked, drilled or bumped and if snapped the added reinforcement of a cylinder guard prevents the removal of the cylinder keeping your door secure.

No compromises with conservatories

Multi-point locking systems, key-locking handles, hook-bolts and window hinge-side security devices are standard on all our conservatories. They also incorporate a unique reinforced wall frame design to provide unrivalled levels of security. We continually work with crime prevention organisations to build in more security, such as the glazing beads on the inside of our sealed units, while many conservatory manufacturers simply don’t bother. We've even improved some of our uPVC conservatory windows so much that they’re twice as good as BSI kitemark standards.
