Modern Aluminium Windows

Add a contemporary style to any property, with slim frames and a range of modern colours. The large glass area lets more light flood into your home, while aluminium is so strong and robust, it requires very little maintenance.

  • Slim aluminium frames with more glass
  • Strong and durable material
  • Aluminium requires very little maintenance
  • A contemporary colour range for a modern style

What Are Modern Windows?

Designed to allow plenty of light to flood into the interior, large windows are the signature of the modern style house.

Architecturally designed houses have clean lines and a sleek appearance with an uncluttered finish of elegance, and lots of glass.

Modern window frames prefer the sleek finish of the slim profile aluminium frame window that allows the maximum area of glass. Aluminium frames are also much stronger than uPVC and can support the heavier panes of glass in large windows.

To create a large wall of glass, sliding doors or bi-fold doors can be used to bring the outside into the interior space. Especially popular in kitchen diners that lead out into the garden.

The walls of a modern house are usually white render, a combination and render and timber cladding, or render and stone. Window frames are dark grey or black.

To finish the look of your modern windows, add minimal hardware to retain the sleek styling.

For modern/architectural properties, we recommend aluminium windows or uPVC flush sash windows in dark grey or black.

The Benefits of Everest Modern Windows

Our windows are built to last and are extremely easy to maintain. With thousands of options to choose from, our windows are designed to meet your needs.

  • Choose between low-maintenance uPVC or contemporary aluminium windows.
  • Customise your windows with a choice of glass and glazing, including obscure, decorative, noise-reducing, double glazing or triple glazing.
  • Our windows are fitted with multi-point locking.

A++ Rated for Energy Efficiency

Our uPVC windows are A+ rated as standard and made-to-measure for a perfect fit. The frame and sash have multi-chamber profiles to prevent heat escaping and Low-E internal glass to reflect heat back in. The gap between the panes is filled with Argon gas to ensure cold air stays out and the separating spacers are coated in a low-conduction material to hold in more heat.

Tested to British Security Standards

With Everest, you can rest assured you’re getting windows that meet the British Standard for security so your home is offered the highest level of protection. We use internal glazing beads, to prevent the glass from being removed from the outside by would-be intruders.

High Quality Windows, Guaranteed

  • 25 years cover on aluminium profile and colour finish
  • 20 years cover against fog and condensation between the panes on uPVC and discolouration of white uPVC
  • 10 years cover against fog and condensation between the panes on aluminium, discolouration of foiled uPVC, window parts and installation

Commonly Asked Questions

  • +
How much do new windows cost?

The cost of new windows depends on a variety of factors, such as style, materials, size and complications with installation.

We don't offer off-the-shelf stock sizes of windows as all of our products are bespoke to your needs and made-to-measure.

For these reasons, we don't offer a price list.

    What window colours are available?

At Everest, we offer a full range of colours and natural woodgrain finishes across all of our window ranges.

From popular white to Chartwell green and the modern anthracite grey or black windows.

We can even produce windows that have one colour on the outside and another on the inside to match your interior/exterior.

    How long do windows last?

Double glazing lasts for around 20 years but does vary depending on the quality of the window units and the quality of the installation.

Reputable double glazing manufacturers and installers will offer guarantees (at Everest, we offer a standard 10-year guarantee on all windows and lifetime guarantees against internal condensation and discolouration*).

Of course, windows can last far longer than their predicted lifetime and many houses have windows that are over thirty years old - if they've been well-maintained.

The first part of the double glazed window that is likely to fail is the seal and second to that are the hinges.

It also depends on where the windows are positioned in a property. For example, a south-facing window that gets a lot of sun and heat is more prone to discolouring or the seals drying out.

What types of glass are available for windows?

Standard glass is called ‘Low E’ and is a great all round option for energy efficiency. Low Iron glass offers high clarity and energy efficiency. Toughened glass is five times stronger than regular glass and laminated glass, contains a plastic interlayer offering better insulation and resistance against damage.

Are Aluminium Windows better than uPVC?

Aluminium tends to be stronger than uPVC, which means that the frame of an aluminium window can have a slimmer profile and larger glass surface compared to its uPVC equivalent.

However, aluminium conducts heat and cold and so is not as thermally efficient as uPVC which is far better at reducing temperature transfer through the frame.

At Everest, we have the experience to reduce this problem. We limit transfer by incorporating a polyamide thermal break in the frame, a warm edge space bar between the panes and fit Low-E glass as standard.

Should I replace all windows at once?

It is better to replace all windows at once. Firstly, because the aesthetic of the property looks better with uniformity. This will help the value of your property and make it more appealing to buyers.

Secondly, it is far more cost effective to replace all windows at the same time. Installers work on a basis of having fixed costs to attend a job. The more windows you have installed at once, the cheaper the cost per unit becomes.
