The benefits of a Timber Conservatory

Solid construction

Solid construction

Made from carefully selected Engineered Siberian Larch timber, giving it excellent durability and stability, so you can rest assured that your wooden conservatory will keep its good looks. All our timber is sourced from sustainable forests and is FSC certified.

Keep the heat in and the cold out

Timber naturally retains heat, and we have paired it with low-e internal glass which reflects heat back into the room, a low iron outer glass pane to improve window clarity and Q-Lon seals to improve weather resistance. All of which means your wooden conservatory will be as wonderfully warm in the winter as it’s bright and cool in the summer.

Beautiful finish

Beautiful finish

We have an attractive range of painted finishes as standard to complement your colour scheme, but we can match any shade you like. Our tolerance for gaps is also far less than with other suppliers, plus we use a timber trim around the edge of our wooden conservatories for a neater finish.

Guaranteed for peace of mind

Naturally, peace of mind comes as standard. Our timber conservatories carry a 10-year guarantee on workmanship and materials including 2 years on paint finishes. We also have a 30-year guarantee against fungus and rot.

Choosing a new conservatory can be a daunting task, so to help you here are some popular FAQs which you might find useful.

How much does a timber conservatory cost?
Timber conservatories look far superior and can be bespoke built to match your property with frames carved and finished with a variety of joinery styles, either plain or ornate and there is no limit for the colour. As a result of the workmanship the average cost of a timber conservatory can be 50% more than uPVC and will start from around £25,000 for a basic structure.

How long will a timber conservatory last?
Timber is an excellent choice of material as it offers excellent opportunities for bespoke finishing and colouring to match your home. A well-cared for wooden conservatory can last just as long as alternative materials if well maintained. Our paint finishes protect your conservatory but we recommend repainting every 5 to 10 years to help maintain its longevity.

How can I maintain my timber conservatory?
All of our wooden conservatories are made from specifically selected, seasoned wood. Timber has natural properties that help it withstand the elements and in the factory, we apply a 'colour harmonising' finish containing a preservative. We then apply a micro-porous protective paint finish. However, timber is a natural material so it requires regular attention to keep them looking good.

What timber species do you use for your timber conservatories?
We use carefully selected Siberian Larch from sustainable forests. The cold Siberian climate results in a small growth each year which is shown in the timber’s tight grain pattern and giving it excellent durability and stability. All of the timber we use is also FSC certified.

For many homes, particularly in conservation areas, a wooden conservatory is the perfect choice. They also add an authentic, traditional look and are a great choice for period properties.
