Windows & Doors in Danbury

New Windows & Doors in Danbury, Essex

Mr G lives in a lovely detached property with large spacious garden and comfortably designed rooms.

When Mr G decided it was time to upgrade the windows and doors in his home, the reason was clear, his existing timber frames were showing their age. They had begun to rot, and replacing them was now essential for keeping his home protected and looking its best.

Moreover, the kitchen was being renovated and this offered the perfect opportunity to open up his kitchen to allow in more light and expand access to the garden.

Choosing a name he could trust

Asked what made him contact Everest first, Mr G explained that he’d known the name for a long time and associated it strongly with quality.  Discussions were had with another company, but their approach didn’t feel right. It wasn’t the experience he was looking for, which led him to confidently go ahead with Everest.

Guidance that made the difference

When the Everest Sales Consultant visited, the experience was a positive one. Mr G said the visit was “very helpful” in guiding him through styles, materials and colours to make sure the final choices suited both his home and expectations.

A fresh new look and no more maintenance

What a difference

Mr G fitted replaced all his old timber windows with Flush casement, all matched with an understated ‘cross’ glazing bar finish to give a cohesive design style to his home.  In addition 2 pairs of Flush casement fitting French doors were added to the rear of the home which gave access to the garden from kitchen and living room.  The statement kitchen was opened up with a large French door with side panels to let the light flood in resulting in a real show kitchen perfect for summer entertaining.

Installation & service

Overall, Mr G found the installation to be good and the benefits were immediate. His home now “looks great, works well, and no more painting is needed,” he said.

The modern, low-maintenance frames have eliminated ongoing upkeep, while improving both the appearance and performance of the property.

Everest project summary

What a great finish Mr G has achieved with the choice of white woodgrain Flush casement windows and doors all matched together to give a perfect cohesive aesthetic to the property.  The kitchen provides a tremendous WoW factor and looks fantastic.

Timber windows and doors really can be an asset to a home but as Mr G found out they can be a labour of love that demand maintenance every 10 years or sooner on south facing elevations.  However, modern flush windows with a woodgrain finish can do an excellent job in replicating their timeless design.

We love the application of the glazing bar on the kitchen French door side panels.  A very small detail but this simple use of a single horizontal glazing bar is becoming very popular with customers looking to recreate a contemporary style known as a Belgian window and which nods to the steel ‘Crittall’ look established in the 1920's.

For Mr G, choosing Everest was about trusting a well-known name, receiving helpful advice, and achieving a clean, modern finish for his home. His upgraded windows and doors have created a beautifully styled home and removed the burden of regular maintenance, exactly the outcome he was hoping for.
