Your Design Consultation

Keeping everyone safe is our top priority

We have re-introduced our in-home design consultations, with new working practices in place to keep our customers and colleagues safe. Following government advice on working safely, we have introduced some significant changes and issued our staff with clear work practice instructions, meaning the way we do consultations will now be a little different. We are also happy to discuss projects remotely by video call if you prefer.

How we are making our service safer for everyone

Our consultants will be meticulous when visiting customer homes, but you can discuss exactly how you would like your visit to be conducted in advance. On the day of the visit, we have introduced the following measures...

  1. Field Sales Consultants are not permitted to attend your home if they are displaying any Covid symptoms or are required to self-isolate following current Government guidelines.
  2. We'll be in touch on the day of your consultation to confirm that you and your household are also symptom free. If you or any member of your household has any symptoms the visit will not go ahead, but we can re-arrange your consultation if necessary.
  3. We can discuss how you would like the consultation to be conducted, with discussions taking place in the garden for instance.
  4. Every consultant will be equipped with protective clothing such as disposable gloves and masks and will also bring their own hand sanitiser.
  5. Product samples will be disinfected thoroughly before and after every visit and you'll be asked to wear sanitary gloves if you wish to handle them.
  6. Every consultant will observe strict social distancing throughout the visit and stay at least 2m away. You can even expect a friendly wave instead of a handshake.
  7. Finally, consultants will clean and disinfect any surfaces in your home they have touched before leaving.

Can I book an in-home consultation?
Yes, our in-home design consultation service has resumed in accordance with COVID-19 social distancing guidelines. You can request a consultation here.
  • +
My consultation was cancelled. When can I re-book?
If your consultation was cancelled due to Coronavirus, you do not need to do anything. We will contact you shortly to re-schedule.
  • +
How do in-home consultations work now?
The consultation itself has not changed, but we have introduced new measures for your safety and protection. Your design consultant will be equipped with essential protective clothing and observe social distancing throughout the visit.
  • +
How do I know that my design consultant is not infected with Coronavirus?
We are monitoring the health of our design consultants and their families on a daily basis. Only consultants in households that have not experienced any Coronavirus symptoms for 14 days will be able to carry out in-home appointments. For the safety of everyone, your design consultant will contact you on the morning of your appointment to confirm that they are fit to attend and to check that you and your family are also well enough to continue with the appointment.
  • +
What protective clothing will the consultant be wearing?
Our design consultants will be equipped with gloves, masks and shoe covers, which will be replaced before each appointment. They will also have hand sanitiser and disinfectant wipes to clean any surfaces.
  • +
How will you ensure social distancing during my design consultation?
Your design consultant will ensure a distance of at least 2m is kept between you at all times. Please help us keep you safe by joining your consultant in observing social distancing measures in the home, and protecting family members and pets by moving into a different room for the appointment.
  • +
Will I be able to browse samples during my appointment?
Your design consultant will still bring product samples to your consultation so you can see the full range. If you want to handle any samples yourself, we would strongly recommend wearing gloves and taking the appropriate hygiene measures. As an extra precaution, all samples will be disinfected before and after every consultation.
  • +
What if I or someone in my house feels unwell?
The safety of everyone is our number one priority, so if you, or a member of your family feels at all unwell with Coronavirus-like symptoms, you must contact us to re-arrange your consultation. On the morning of your consultation your design consultant will contact you to double check that it is safe to carry out the appointment. If your consultant is unable to contact you, or if you report feeling unwell on the day, we can re-schedule your consultation or arrange remotely via a video or phone call if you prefer.
  • +
How long does a design consultation take?
We anticipate that a standard consultation with an Everest consultant will take between 60-90 minutes, from their arrival at your home. However, we will stay for as little or as long as you like to ensure you get everything you need.
  • +
How flexible are your design consultations?
We are very flexible when booking your design consultation and can arrange for it to take place during the day, in the evenings or even at weekends.
