Doors Benefits

Our doors offer the following benefits

  • Warmer

When you choose an Everest Door, you know that every detail has been perfected to ensure your home is kept warm and comfortable.

The glass in all of our models is either double or triple-glazed, fully sealed, and utilises advanced glass technology to reduce heat loss.

We’ve also included a pane with a special low emissivity coating as standard. This reflects the existing heat back into your home, keeping the warmth at a maximum.

We leave a 20mm argon filled gap between the two panes in all Everest double glazing for optimum thermal insulation. And the door frames themselves incorporate multiple draught-resistant seals which lock into place when the door is closed to help minimise heat loss even further.

By conserving heat and reducing draughts, Everest Doors can also help you to conserve energy, as well as reduce your bills and your carbon footprint.

  • Quieter

Unwanted outside noise in your home can mean the difference between a calm, relaxed atmosphere and a stressful, loud one.

To help maintain your peace and quiet, all Everest Doors are made-to-measure and fully insulated to significantly reduce the impact of outdoor noise inside your home, with double glazing and triple glazing available in a variety of our doors.

We achieve this in many different ways. The first is by incorporating a 20mm insulating air gap between the double glazed glass panes in our timberaluminiumGRP and uPVC doors.

In addition to keeping the heat in, this is extremely effective in reducing noise. But if you live in a particularly noisy environment, for instance by a busy road or a school, we can install Everest sound reduction glass in uPVC doors for even better soundproofing.

With an Everest Door in place, you can look forward to a relaxed, quieter space, unless you decide you’re in a noisy mood of course.

  • More secure

Your peace of mind is our priority, that’s why all Everest Doors come with an extensive range of top-quality door security features. See below just how we put doors security to the test, and read on to discover what makes our doors more secure.

To keep unwanted intruders in their place – outside - all of our doors feature multi-point stainless steel locks that engage securely into the door frame to create a tight seal around the whole door.

Because stainless steel doesn’t corrode you know that its strength won’t let you down.

Everest's high security locking cylinder resists all common methods of breaking and entering such as bumping, snapping, picking and drilling.

Our extremely solid, quality-tested hinges will keep your door secure for years to come and are fixed into steel reinforcement for extra strength. We also offer optional door security chains and spy holes so you can answer your door without leaving yourself vulnerable.

We don’t just assume our products live up you your expectations, we guarantee it.  All Everest Entrance Doors tested for the PAS24 standard for security meet the standard.

In fact, home security is so critical to what we do here at Everest, we helped the British Standards Institute (BSI) to develop the criteria for a new security kitemark.

  • Virtually maintenance free

The most difficult part of becoming an Everest Door owner is deciding which style to go with. That’s because we’ve made everything else as easy as possible, especially the maintenance and cleaning.

When we install an Everest Door, we guarantee it will remain as smart and attractive as the day we installed it, with very little effort undertaken by you.

Because our uPVC, GRP and aluminium frames will never flake, rot, peel or rust they will never require painting or sanding. In fact, an occasional wipe-down with soap and water is all they need to keep them looking as good as new.

Our white uPVC entrance doors even come with a lifetime guarantee against discolouration. And the material and colour finish of our aluminium doors are guaranteed for 25 years.

Our Everest low-maintenance hardwood timber doors also come with a 30-year guarantee against rot and fungi.

But we haven’t just guessed at how good our doors are, we’ve weather-tested all our hardware on our virtually maintenance-free doors for 500 hours – double the time required by British standards. And we’re delighted to say that they all exceed the performance levels required.

  • Energy efficient

Making your home more energy efficient by installing a high-quality Everest Door can have so many positive effects.

Not only can it help keep your home warm and cosy, it can also cut down on how much you spend on energy bills, because retaining heat means that you won’t need to have your heating on as often.

Cutting down on the energy you use will also actively help you to reduce your home's carbon footprint, which can be great news if you’re thinking of selling your home in the future. Research actually shows that environmentally friendly homes are more attractive to potential purchasers, so installing energy-saving Everest doors can be a great investment.

You don’t have to limit your choice of styles, to reach our maximum energy-efficiency either. In fact, all Everest door frames are designed to save as much energy as possible in lots of different ways:

    • We install double-draught-proofing as standard in all our doors, as well as double or triple-glazed sealed units. This helps to reduce unnecessary heat loss and keep your home warm and draught free.
    • All sealed units in our energy saving doors feature advanced glass technology and superior insulation that's more greater efficiency compared to conventional sealed units in keeping in warmth.
    • Our door glazing also features state-of-the-art glazing technology as standard. With coated low-emissivity glass that reflects heat back inside your home, the sealed units in your energy saving door will keep in more heat than ordinary double-glazed sealed units.
    • Choose a door that can be fitted with triple-glazed glass and you could actually improve your home's energy efficiency by another 35%, compared to standard double glazing.

In addition, our uPVC door frames are multi-chambered, our aluminium doors come with thermal breaks to retain heat, and the timber used in our hardwood doors insulates naturally.

Choose an Everest door for your home and you know you’ll definitely be doing your bit for the environment and your pocket.
