The Project

The customer had been looking to change her front door for four and a half years, since she moved into the property in Ashbourne, Derbyshire. With her current Entrance door being old, tired and letting in considerable drafts, it was finally time to make the move to install a brand new door. She not only wanted to increase the warmth and security, but was keen to give her property some extra kerb appeal and elevate the entrance to her home. She decided to contact Everest and was extremely interested by our top of the range Exclusive 70mm Composite door range with its stylish and individual colour palette and impressive heritage furniture.

I went for a Composite Front Door from Everest and genuinely could not be happier. Aside from how aesthetically pleasing it looks, we’ve already noticed a huge difference from our previous door as we no longer have a nasty draft coming through under the door.

The Design Consultation

Not only had the customer been impressed with the standard of the Everest products and how secure they have made her home, she was also impressed with the end to end service. She was delighted with the appointment from our surveyor and was also keen on making sure that the door was on-trend and would stand the test of time. She said "I went for the Brompton front door with all gold hardware, in 'Beach Pebble' grey. I was really tempted to go for pink but as popular and on trend as that would be now, grey will stay classic for much longer and the front door is not something we want to be changing for a very, very long time!"

The Installation Process

The installation went very smoothly and was completed within a day. The customer was particularly impressed at how the team took real care to limit any mess created. The team put dust sheets out to protect the hallway mirror and side cabinet at all times. They also made the extra effort to sweep up (inside and out) after the job was done leaving it spotless when they left.

The surveyor was extremely helpful – he was able to advise me and suggest alternative options that I hadn’t thought about. For instance, having the wood grain effect surround to compliment the grain in the door, so to help it not look like a uPVC surround – it made a big difference.

Project Summary

Overall, the customer was delighted with the finished product and said the door and service received were excellent from start to finish. She went on to say "It has honestly made a huge difference to keeping the house warm this winter as well as being more secure and therefore safer too – we are absolutely delighted!".
