Meet the team in Lancashire

John Holdaway

John joined Everest in 2012, and his territory includes Carlisle, plus Lancaster, Barnard Castle, Ulverston and Kendal. He's just as happy talking about windows and doors as roofline, driveways, flat roofs, garage doors, porches and our artificial turf, Greener Grass. For 55 years, he used to wear glasses, but following cataract operations says he now only needs them for reading! His favourite book/film is the Lord of the Rings and he's also a horse racing fan, so if you're looking for tips on the gee-gees as well as home improvements, he could be your man.

Lloyd Kirkham

Lloyd used to be a semi-professional hockey player, which explains why his favourite film in the 1970s comedy Slap Shot, centring around a fading ice hockey team. Since 1980, he's been responsible for all key products in places such as Keswick, Morecambe, Ambleside and Carlisle. Much of his territory covers the Lake District, which the authorities aim to keep as an area of beauty by detailing what's allowed when it comes to home improvements. Fortunately, Lloyd's experience means he knows exactly the right product, materials and approach to suggest, every time.

Peter Jones

If you live in the Lake District, you'll know that there are strict regulations when it comes to home improvements, from the design you choose to the materials permitted through to whether certain improvements are even allowed at all. Fortunately, if you call on Peter, you're off to a great head start. First because he lives in Grasmere himself and second because he's also a qualified chartered surveyor . He handles all of our core products such as windows and doors, but also conservatories and replacement conservatory roofs.

Shane Fisher

Shane's territory is one of the most beautiful in the country, encompassing Windermere, Silverdale, Penrith, Kendal and Appleby. In that part of the world, much of it is national park or conservation areas so there are regulations when it comes to home improvements. Fortunately, Shane knows his stuff and will make sure what you opt for gets approval. Secondary glazing, for example, can be ideal. Shane was a builder before he joined us, so he's excellent on construction advice. He likes watching his kids play football and dance competitions.

James Oakland

James lives in the market town of Darwen in Lancashire, while his customers are from all over the territory, including Burnley, Whitworth, Colne, Southport and Poulton. He looks after all of our products, including bi-fold, entrance, French, stable and patio doors, as well as dual-turn, casement and sash windows. His favourite film is Cool Hand Luke, and it might be that he models himself on its good-looking star Paul Newman, as he says that his motto is like the Martini ad - ‘any time, any place, anywhere'. James has been with Everest since 1997.
